"In Search of Soul" is a co-creation:  the photographic imagery of Beth Kingsley Hawkins, orchestrated on dual slide projectors with face and dissolve, in concert with the cello music and sounds of David Darling, as he goes deeply into the images and "plays' his own soul response.

"In Search of Soul" was first created at Immaculata University's Institute of Music and Healing in August of 2001.

The images are organized into three groups, inspired by three poems important to Beth in her faith journey:

   * Sheldon Kopp's My repeated pilgrimage to the sea will not end so long as I live
   * An adaptation of Walt Whitman's poem There was a child went forth which begins
There was a child went forth each day and the first object he saw, he became and that object became part of him for that day, pr for that part of a day, or for that year or for many stretching cycles of years.
   * e.e. cummings'  i thank you God for most this amazing day
